Event Details

A celebration that draws large crowds in the hundreds of thousands.  Vaisakhi celebrates the beginning of the harvest season, but for Sikhs specifically, marks the birth of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699.  The occassion is marked by large Vaisakhi parades in many parts of the world, with the largest outside of India taking place in Surrey B.C.
