Nine years ago Tony Singh started out with a single Fruiticana location in Newton. With only three employees, Singh found himself doing everything from stocking shelves to manning the cash register, but he quickly began to see a bigger vision for the future of Fruiticana.

“When we first started nine years ago, there was just a handful of us,” says Singh, “We attracted people who understood what we were trying to accomplish, people who understood what it means to remain committed to quality, service and the customer. It’s all about building long term relationships with the customer.”

That committment has led to Fruiticana becoming a household name in the Indo-Canadian community. Today, Singh and his team of more than 120 employees oversee the operations of 14 Fruiticana locations, as well as a 65,000-square-foot centralized warehouse and distribution facility.
